My specialities include painted lettering, lining and logos applied to vehicles, narrowboats and signs in conservation areas that do not allow 'stick on vinyl'. I am also one of the few remaining craftsmen still able to offer gold leaf and gold leaf lettering. As well as gilding on vehicles and signs I can add a touch of class to gates and railings, finials and flourishes.

Traditional signage is often required for conservational needs. However, it is also a popular choice for those who desire the authentic 'hand painted' look in areas where vinyl would be inappropriate. Painted signs offer a stunning first impression which will mellow over time, compared to vinyl signs that degrade rapidly, and can be retouched back to their brilliance without the need for complete replacement.

I provide a flexible design service. For customers unsure of what they require, I can offer originality and exclusivity through my complete design service with the option of a computer-generated design. Alternatively, I can arrive on site with my paint and brushes and create 'on the job'.

Over the years I have worked on a number of mediums including vehicle signwriting, A boards and signs for shop fronts. Please view my extensive portfolio for examples of my work. I am also able to offer vinyl lettering on request.
